The Green Flag Community Award is an annual review, run by Keep Britain Tidy, of the green spaces being maintained and transformed by the community. The criteria includes: is the space welcoming and safe; does it involve the local community positively; is sustainability, conservation and heritage part of the aims and objectives; is it clean and well maintained. Hydrangea Derby have been awarded the flag since 2013 and this year, despite the restrictions, we’ve won it once more; hence the happy faces on the photo. There are more than 6 on the photo but it includes 3 family groups and a distance of 2 metres between us. Looking forward to 2021.
