Species & Cultivars

Aspera ‘Bellevue’
Synonyms: None
Origins: Created by Martine and Francis Lemonnier at Jardin de Bellevue in Normandy, France.
Awards: To be verified
Height & Width: 3m x 1.5m

The broad, flat and shiny leaves can grow as large as 30 – 40cm.  The fertile florets in the centre of the flower head are lilac and are rimmed by paler sterile sepals. We bought ours in 2014 from Pan Global Plants and the images are of the plant at 4 years old. Wondering if this is when it will look its best. The can get very large and shaggy.
