Syn. Geoffrey Chadbund & Seagull  AGM 1992

A very popular medium to large bush of robust constitution growing up to  1.5m.  The flower heads are lilac on acid soils and bright deep red on alkaline soils.  The fertile florets at the centre of the flower heads open cream coloured.   Attempts to blue this variety results in rather muddy mauve flowers so it is best grown on an alkaline soil.
