A large shrub growing to 6.5′ high and wide in about 7 -8 years. Branches are strong and erect, dark brown with grey stripes. Leaves are the darkest green of any H. paniculata cultivar. Flowers average 9.5″ and 6.5″ wide. The combination of showy sepals and fertile flowers produces a balanced flower head, neither too sparse nor too heavy. Flowers open in mid-June and are still white in July, turning pink with the advent of cooler weather in September and remaining colorful sometimes into November.
