The gates to the walled garden were closed at the end of October for the winter. The volunteers will start their end-of-year planting and maintenance activities during November. The hydrangeas have put on a spectacular display and we hope all our visitors enjoyed seeing them as they changed colour through the seasons. The outer garden remains open all year round and is still full of colour. Most flowers have moved into their ‘antique’ phase now, and a surprising number of plants have produced new flowers in the last few weeks, so there is still plenty to see.
