Great day for our annual open day with 2 tours attracting 70 people, some as far as Norwich and Scotland. Details of the different types of hydrangea, how to grow them, prune them and when to deadhead them were asked for and given. We signed up more volunteers and sent some visitors off for a relaxing 15 minutes of tai chi in the butterfly garden. The hydrangeas looked good and we could show that some of our pruning and moving to better places had encouraged the plants to do even better. The mosaic attracted a lot of attention as visitors remembered the little stories the tiles told.
