Jean Renault has a nursery in France and has cultivated 6 well know hydrangea paniculatas as well as propagating many other hydrangea varieties.  He come with his son in law, Raymond who interpreted for us, on a short visit to England to see our collection as well as others.  He wanted to take cutting,s which he didn’t already have, from our collection to grow on when he got back to France.  In return he had a boot full of plant pots and plugs which he handed over to us and which are now lined up in the walled garden waiting to be grown on and become part of our collection.
