It’s pouring with rain, the café is closed and although the hydrangeas are loving the tail end of Bertha, we humans aren’t so waterproof.  So we gathered with our marquees, tables, posters, etc to decide on a plan.  The rain defeated us however, so we made the unhappy decision to cancel today’s open day.  We apologise to anyone who has made the journey needlessly and if you have any questions, contact us through this website.   The gardens will remain open until the end of October so please come and see it another day when it’s not so wet.  The attached photo is of our stunning display of paniculatas, particularly brilliant this year.
