Walled Garden Opens on 30 June 2026

After a mild winter and a warm but wet spring, the hydrangeas are flowering even earlier this year. We will open the gates to the walled garden on Tuesday 30 June and they will remain open all day every day until the end of October. As always, the display will change week by week throughout the season as the flowers develop and move through their different phases. Right now, the mophead and lacecap flowers of the macrophylla and serrata species are full of spring freshness with lovely bright colours emerging. Here are a few examples which I hope will tempt you to come and visit the garden soon.
