This new and distinct cultivar of Hydrangea paniculata is characterised by its upright habit created by the strong and sturdy stems that hold the flower heads upright. The sterile sepals change from white to pink over the growing season. It also has a scent which attracts butterflies, particularly Araschnia Levana after which it is named. The plant originated from an open-pollination in 1996 of Hydrangea paniculata `Barbara’.
