A sturdy plant with dark green leaves and flowers that turn a good blue on acid soils

USpatent PP16099 states that this is a cultivar of H.paniculata, however the accompanying photograph shows a macrophylla – Mophead Hydrangea and the notes compare with other cultivars of H.macrophylla.  This is therefore an error in the patent.
