Characterized by its very early spring blooming habit, its ability to re-bloom on new growth after deadheading, its consistently well formed, large sized inflorescences that are red-purple in color (bluer in color depending with alkaline pH and sufficient aluminum levels), its strong flower stems, and its durable thick foliage.
