This cultivar is characterized by its upright and mounded plant habit; strong and healthy root system; strong stems; and large mophead-type inflorescences with dark pink-coloured flowers with white-coloured margins.
It originated from a cross-pollination in 2002 of Hydrangea macrophylla `Moritzburg`, as the female, or seed parent and a proprietary selection of Hydrangea macrophylla.
