The walled garden has 4 new trees purchased and planted during the ‘National Tree Week’.  These will provide dappled shade for even more hydrangeas.   3 are Cercidiphyllum japonicum (Katsura for short) and 1 is a Liquidambar styraciflua Black Beauty.  Thank you Bluebell Nursery at Smisby for the advice and guidance.  We had a rent-a-kid team to plant them which made sense as they will be the ones to see them fully grown.  Pronouncing the names may come later.  Looking forward to seeing them grow.
