With a compact and rounded habit.  The stems are reddish-brown and the smooth leaves a mid-green. The small rounded flower heads have a 80% covering of sterile florets whose sepals start white and age to a cherry red especially on the under side. ‘Magical Flame’ is similar to ‘Magical Fire’ but with slightly tighter flowers that turn more cherry red rather than brick red.
