Origins: Bred by Jean Renault at Gorron in France in 2007
Awards: Silver medal at Plantarium 2011; Hydrangea Derby – Gold Medal in 2023

This is one of the reddest of the paniculata cultivars.  The stems can be a bit weak when the plants are young, but pruning to provide a strong framework can solve this problem.  The panicles are large and rounded and the large sepals open white but soon turn pink, then changing to a spectacular bright cherry-red  which lasts several weeks.
