This hydrangea comes from a farmhouse inNorthern Indiana. Legend has it that Sadie Ray has bloomed every year for over 50 years in cold climate.  Often, it would die back to the ground but still bloom during the summer for all to enjoy. Pale blue in acidic soil and pale pink in neutral, Sadie Ray has a strong habit and large flat green leaves. The blooms age green during late summer
