From the mountains on the Izu peninsula inJapan

With sweet tasting leaves and growing to 1m high.  An elegant plant white fertile florets and pure whiteelongated sterile florets.  This Japanese hydrangea has extremely narrow foliage along stems to 3 ft., and the loveliest of diminutive white lacecaps nestled within. Though a hardy and durable selection, it appears so delicate that one almost wants to whisper in its presence.
