A new and distinct cultivar characterized by its Upright and somewhat outwardly spreading growth habit; green and yellow green variegated leaves; and lacecap type inflorescences with light purple-coloured flowers. It originated from an open-pollination during the summer of 1998, of an unnamed selection of Hydrangea macrophylla, as the female, or seed, parent with an unknown selection of Hydrangea macrophylla.
