The broad, flat and shiny leaves can grow as large as 30 – 40cm. The fertile florets in the centre of the flower head are lilac and are rimmed by paler sterile sepals. We bought ours in 2014 from Pan Global Plants and the images are of the plant at 4 years old....
Not as large as most aspera cultivars with deep blue fertile florets and pure mauve sterile florets. Very similar to aspera ‘Peter Chappell’ but with more mauve in the fertile florets.
