Syn.. Glory of Aalsmeer.  It is named after the 19^th century German poet.

With bright pink flowers on alkaline soils and a dull mauve on acid soil. The sepals open dish-shaped but then flatten out.  In the autumn the flowers turn a good shade of re tinged with green.
